Quick Start Guide

Getting started with Upkapp is designed to be fast and intuitive. In just a few minutes, you can set up your first automated workflow and start taking the mental load off your daily operations.

Follow these four simple steps to experience the core logic of Upkapp and automate your first repetitive task.


Step 1: Create a Group

Groups are the highest level of organization in Upkapp. They act as broad categories or folders for the things you want to track and maintain.

  1. Navigate to the Groups tab in your main menu.
  2. Click the Create New Group button.
  3. Enter a name for your group (for example, Vehicles, Facilities, or Compliance) and click save.

Step 2: Add an Item

Items live inside Groups. An Item is the specific target of your maintenance or task. It can be a physical asset or a logical division.

  1. Go to the Items section on menu or click on your group created.
  2. Click Add Item.
  3. Name your Item (for example, Delivery Van A, Main Office Elevator, or accountability).
  4. Select the Group you created in Step 1 from the dropdown menu to link them together.
  5. Fill optional fields when needed.
  6. Save your new Item.

Step 3: Configure a Job

Jobs are the heart of Upkapp's automation. A Job defines the specific, repetitive work that needs to be done for an Item, and how often it happens.

  1. Open the Item you just created.
  2. Click on the Create Job button.
  3. Name the Job clearly (for example, Change Engine Oil, Annual Safety Inspection, or Renew Software License).
  4. Set your recurrence rule typing naturally onde apporprieted field. you can always ask for help click on "info" icon all over the app.
  5. Save the Job configuration.

Step 4: Manage Your First Work Order

Once a Job is saved, Upkapp's engine goes to work. Based on the rules you just set, the system automatically generates an actionable Work Order.

  1. Navigate to your Work Orders page.
  2. Locate the newly generated Work Order for your Job automatically priorized by Upkapp's Smart Status. You can see more info here.
  3. Once the actual task is performed in real life, open the Work Order and click Complete.

The exact moment you mark that Work Order as complete, Upkapp instantly calculates and creates the next Work Order based on your Job rules. You have successfully automated your first task!
